Biography

With a definite style of femininity evident within all of her headwear, Irish milliner Emily Jean is the name to keep your eye on for striking hats and bridal headwear.

After training in Jewellery Design, Emily Jean translated the skills used to craft intricate designs - and applied them to a millinery course at London College of Fashion. To keep progressing in millinery, Emily Jean moved on and trained in London with renowned milliners Louis Mariette and Dillon Wallwork, before going to Paris to work at Maison Michel, the official millinery house of Chanel.

It wasn’t long until Emily Jean had established herself in the bridal market for millinery and developed a signature look which is now known to be expressed using a wide variety of silks, satins, plumes, quills and ribbons.

Emily Jean’s design philosophy is simple; to create high quality, stylish, feminine headwear that complements the woman adorning it. With delicate structures and a soft pallet, each of Emily Jean’s headpieces not only compliments the wearer but help to tell a story about themselves and the hats are testament to Emily Jean’s belief that, “anyone can wear a hat and look great!”
