Biography

Established in early 2011 Rachel Black Millinery is fast becoming the go to brand for ladies who want no nonsense head wear. Tired of seeing ‘hats wearing women’ Rachel wanted to create a range that women could feel comfortable wearing whilst still looking elegant and stylish.

Trained originally in costume and theatre design, her pieces display a sense of fun and love. Rachel draws on this training to create unique statement pieces with the intention of releasing the wearer’s ‘inner drama queen’.

She creates twice yearly seasonal collections which include a ready to wear range whilst offering her clients a bespoke service should they wish for something a little more different.  All pieces are handmade at the North London studios using quality materials by Rachel herself combining both traditional and contemporary millinery techniques.

From subtle headpieces to show-stopping hats and classic shapes adorned with unexpected detail she really is one to watch and in 2014, Rachel Black headwear has been featured everywhere glamorously noteworthy from From the pages of Grazia to Cheryl Cole’s head.
